Engineered flooring has been developed as an 'ultra stable' natural flooring product. We offer engineered oak flooring & engineered walnut flooring.
Engineered flooring is manufactured using a substantial timber veneers (either 6mm or 4mm) which is bonded to a cross grain plywood sub base.
This manufacturing process ensures that the movement in solid flooring normally associated with changes in humidity are reduced to an absolute minimum, because of this; engineered flooring can be used in areas and conditions that would normally render solid wooden flooring unsuitable such as for under floor heating, conservatories and south facing rooms.
Our engineered oak & walnut floor can be re-sanded if necessary up to 3 times as with a solid floor. (Please consult your under floor heating supplier as to the suitability of their product with engineered oak & walnut flooring.)
15mm (4mm solid oak veneer on an 11mm plywood sub-base) for fixing directly to existing sub floors where floor levels are critical.
21 mm fully load bearing and can be laid and secret nailed directly onto floor joists. Both depths can also be bonded directly onto a concrete or existing wooden sub-floor, floated or secret nailed onto either floor joists, battens or an existing wooden floor.
All our engineered flooring has a solid ply base...we do not supply goods with cheap blockboard bases.
